Capacity building

WISE builds the knowledge and skills of organisations and aspiring changemakers to increase the impact of their own community-based projects. By designing customised training curricula with an authentic learning environment, complemented by dedicated mentoring, we maximise benefit to the organisations and individuals we work with, and thus, to communities.

WISE has developed and delivered training workshops and programs in Indonesia, Cambodia and Singapore. We are also developing new projects and are actively seeking opportunities to train and/or mentor non-profit organisations, social enterprises and individual changemakers.

Programmes and services

Training needs analysis

WISE helps organisations identify and prioritise the training needs that will build the competencies of their organisation and members most effectively. We recently conducted a training needs analysis for Cambodian partners Neakpoan Organization for Development (NOD) and Community Training Organization for Development (CTOD).

Designing for Behaviour Change Workshop

A one-or-two day workshop for participants to gain a basic understanding of behaviour change theories and tools, through classroom facilitated learning and hands-on exercises. WISE has trained over 120 people in Singapore and is currently contextualising the workshop for Indonesia and Cambodia.

Customised workshops

WISE also designs workshops to meet the specific needs of organisations and groups. Workshops we have customised include:

  • Project ideation for ITE Student Council Summit, September 2019
  • Understanding behaviour change and facilitating dialogue for ACRES (Animal Concerns Education and Research Society), Singapore, June 2019
  • Community Assessment Capacity Building (CACB), Cambodia, October 2017
  • HMTL Capacity Building Project, Indonesia, 2016
